Alonso is 24 points ahead of Raikonnen in the championship. Michael Shumacher did a strange thing of nearly retiring, fixing the car, doing a few more laps and retiring. This is to give a better slot for qualifying next race. Bit strange the way this qualifying does things like that. Williams cars both in a drama with tyres. They both retired after having punctured the same right rear tyre twice.
