Interests
Music
I studied French Horn to grade 8 (distinction), and piano to grade 4. I continued to play French Horn at Warwick University, joining various ensembles, from the large auditioned Symphony Orchestra to smaller ensemble including the Award winning Symphonic Wind Ensemble and the Symphonic Brass Ensemble. I also enjoy listening to a wide range of music, both on CD/record, and at Concerts/Gigs.
Travel
I enjoy travelling, having taken holidays to various European countries including Austria, Italy and Slovenia. I was recently able to combine both of these interests on Warwick University Music Centre's Tour 2000, travelling to and performing in Cologne, Eindhoven and Brussels.
IT
Development of my
personal web-site,
which I have designed to be W3C standards compliant.
Skills
Throughout my academic studies, work experience, and in my musical interests, I have been required to work in a team. I also have developed other transferable skills, such as skills in a variety of types of writing including reports and essays. I have also developed IT skills. These include experience in use of Microsoft Word and Excel, Star Office, MATLAB, Rational Rose, Microsoft Windows, Linux, Sun Solaris and programming in Java, FORTRAN and QBASIC. I have conversational French and German abilities, and posses a clean driving licence.
